baby shower gifts

well i just finished half a baby shower gift. i have done the baby outfit. now i just have to make a baby blanket. i now just need to write the pattern down. so i can make more of them. when i get the baby blanket made i will post it.enjoy the pictures.

a crazy few days

it's been a crazy few days. but i hope things will start getting better. i have been trying to keep busy. here are a few baby items i have done.

i would like to ask for prayers for my dad. we found out thursday that he will have a pacemaker put in on today. were hope this will really help him.

okay while all this was going on i've been crocheting some. i've done some preemie hats and booties. so here are the pictures.

i would like to ask for prayers for a very close family member. we found out yesterday she has cancer. the doctors said she does not have long. i just pray she does not suffer.if you would please say a prayer for her and family.

owl wallhanging

i posted pictures of a purple owl wall hanging. i have made two of them. they are easy to make. i did change them a little . instead of the eyes that move. i just crochet them. i also just left off the bead, and the flower. well here are the pictures.

this was my first one that i made.

i used size k hook.

i used peaches 'n cream double worsted yarn.

as you can see this one is not quite finished. i just need to sew the eyes on.

well i thought you might like to know how i done this. here it is.

Owl wall hanging

• make three granny squares the same size.
• place one to the side.
• place two of them together. with them held together, single crochet around both of them . now they are held together. place them to the side.
• pick up the one you place to the side Early. now fold it in half to make a triangle. now single crochet around the open edge of the triangle.
• since they are both made now. all you need to do is place the triangle on top of the square in one corner. now just sew it in to place.
• now you can do the eyes. make a magic circle, double crochet in the circle. join then double crochet the next row. you want it to be a little tight. you want it to look like a little bowl.
• now you can glue in the wiggly eyes in the center of the little bowls. or you can do just like i did. i made two magic circles with the double crochet in two different colors. then i placed them together and double crochet around them.
• now all you half to do is put them on the owl.
• one more thing at the top of the owl there is a circle. I'm not sure what the hard thing is in side it. it was single crochet around it. then attached to the top of the owl. so you can hang it up. ( i just wrapped the yarn around three fingers. about 4 or 5 times. then single crochet around the circle. just make sure it is stiff. join together and weave in the ends.then attach it to the top of the owl by sewing it on.

the original one was hot glued together. and they had added a bead and a flower to it.

• i sewed mine together for a couple of reasons. 1 : i don't like the hard spots the hot glue made . 2: i did not like the strings the hot glue left on it. 3: if you wanted to you could you the owl as a potholder.

i will make another one and make pictures of it as i make it . then i will post them.

if there is something you do not understand just let me know. i will try to explain it better.

i'm still here

well i didn't fall off the face of the earth. since over the past week i felt like i had been thrown off the face of the earth. a week ago i had just barely twisted and I'm not sure what happened, but i had a sharp pain that that crossed my back . it almost put me on the floor. i have not been able to move. i have just gotten where i could get up an move. i didn't know that there was a pain that worse than gout. this pain made my gout feel like i just stumped my toe . of course i didn't even do any knitting or crocheting . i picked up a crochet hook yesterday for the first time in a week. so i am trying to design a new project . i will also post some pictures in the next few days.
